What are the best products for treating the eye area?

QUESTION:  What are the best products for treating the eye area?

D'LYNN'S ANSWER:  The area around the eyes is always a challenge and I myself am always looking for the best products and solution for this area. I think the best defense is multi-layered.

I start with the C Eye Gel from iS Clinical under my eyes. It is more like a serum and goes on before your eye cream. It has a lighter concentration of L ascorbic acid so it will not irritate the delicate area under the eye. It will give a boost to your eye cream and help under eye puffiness and lighten dark circles.

Invest in a great eye cream, preferably one with growth factors that stimulate collagen production. My two favorites are Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream from Neocutis and TNS Illuminating Eye Cream from SkinMedica.

Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream works with PSP (processed skin cell proteins) to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dark circles and puffiness.

TNS Illuminating Eye Cream contains SkinMedica's signature ingredient, NouriCel-MD, and peptides to help reduce the appearance of dark cirlces and fine lines and wrinkles.

Sunscreen is a must and should be used every day. For the ladies, there are great sunscreens in powder forms that we can reapply throughout the day that does not ruin our makeup. My favorite is by Susan Posnick - the ColorFlo Loose Foundation. It provides a SPF 26.

If you are willing, Botox has been a great friend of mine in defending this area. It does not take much and I have used it for years with no problems.

Your diet can also affect your skin as well. Drink lots and lots of water. Fresh fruits are also great, especially the darker ones.
