QUESTION: I recently started using iS Clinical as my skin care regimen. I have a mild form of rosacea and seem to have the hardest time hydrating my skin. I am using the Rosacea Kit, but the HydraCool Serum is not enough moisture and my face feels so tight. Would you recommend adding the Moisture Complex?
I drink tons of water and take daily supplements, and exercise and eat pretty good. I don't know what else to do to keep my face from feeling so tight and dry. I need something that will sink into my skin and not just sit on the surface. the HydraCool makes my skin feel soft but it still feels dry and tight. I am desperate. I feel like I have tried everything - Dermalogica, MD, Yonka, and now this. What should i do?
D'LYNN'S ANSWER: The kits from iS Clinical are great for addressing the issue that the kit is built for, however sometimes you do need additional products. I have very dry skin myself and my two favorites for extra moisture are Dermal Repair from SkinMedica and Barrier Repair Formula from Remergent.
Dermal Repair is SkinMedica's most elegant face cream and is great for dehydrated, dry skin. It has vitamins C, E and A, and it also contains hyaluronic acid which increases H2O absorbtion and essential fatty acids.
Barrier Repair Formula from Remergent helps to prevent moisture loss and boosts hydration in the epidermis. It moisturizes and strengthens the protoective outer barrier from within.
I would try one of these products which can easily be incorportated into your daily or nightly routine, or both. I recommend applying after your Pro Heal or Hydra Cool Serum and before your sunscreen. Make sure you wait a few minutes between each product to allow each one to absorb into your skin. This should take care of your problem.
